Years 2 and 3 - Ms Lewis
Croeso i Dosbarth Llyn and welcome to our class page!
My name is Ms Lewis and I am the class teacher. We will be working very closely as a Year 2/3 team and we are lucky to share the support of our wonderful Teaching Assistants, Ms Norman and Ms Tuck.
Ms Williams will take the class on alternate Tuesdays, and the following week on alternate Wednesday mornings and Ms Mapstone on that Wednesday afternoon.
The Year 2/3 team are really looking forward to all the exciting learning, exploring and achievements ahead of us this year.
Concept Learning
Our concept this term will be Changes in Time.
Homework
A homework grid will be sent home to support our concept learning each term. Each week, children should choose one activity from the grid to complete. These activities are designed to reinforce classroom learning while encouraging creativity and independence. This will also be uploaded on Google Classroom where you can complete the tasks, alongside other useful links.
Pupils will be given a reading book which is changed weekly on a Friday and will also have access to the class lending library where they can choose a book to share with their family.
In numeracy, pupils have access to their own Sumdog accounts to practice their maths skills through online games and activities.
Pupils should also regularly practice correct letter and number formation and the reading and spelling of high frequency words.
